Question 1: How did you become a medical professional?

I remember being fascinated by the idea of working in the medical profession from a very young age. I took a keen interest in anything that could serve to entertain my interest since then. When the time came to choose a career, all I had to do was confirm the inevitable...

Question 2: What element of your role do you most enjoy?

The diversity within the ever-changing field of Dentistry. (I am no creature of habit and couldn’t bear doing the exact same thing day after day.)

Question 3: What element of your role do you least enjoy /or what element was a surprise to you?

As much as I would like to see people under different circumstances, in my experience patients tend to visit the dentist as a last resort rather than as a regular part of their lifestyles. I aim to change this mindset, if it’s the last thing I do...

Question 4: Knowing what you do now, if you could go back and start again would you still choose to work in the medical profession? (Please give a reason for your answer)

Yes, absolutely! Nothing I can begin to think of will give me as much satisfaction as my career. Knowing what I do now, I am able to confirm this with great certainty.

Question 5: If you could give your past self some words of wisdom, what would you say?

Every person is a direct result of the experiences that they have been through in life. When times are gloomy and great challenges arise, remember that and think of the outcome, not the obstacle at hand.
